Description
Waveshare Photo Interrupter Sensor is an optical sensor module that enables the construction of an incremental encoder. The sensor element operates in the infrared band which eliminates the influence of external light on the sensor's operation. The module has a Schmitt trigger, thanks to which the output signal is stable and without interference. An additional element of the module is the IR interruption signaling which signals the LED diode lighting. At the moment of interruption of the beam there is a low state at the module output. The sensor will also work as a pulse counter for other mechanisms.
