Description

Dual MAX14870 Motor Driver is a compact dual DC motor controller compatible with the Arduino standard. It allows you to control two DC motors with a voltage between 4.5 ... 36 V. The controller is based on two H MAX14870 bridges, thanks to which 1.7 A (2.5 A in peak) current can be drawn from each channel. The board has protection against reverse power connection. It is possible to power the Arduino board from a common power source with motors.

Attention!
The MAX14870 system can work with a much higher voltage than the Arduino board. Remember to use common power supply for motors and Arduino only if the supply voltage of the motors is compatible with the supply voltage for Arduino tiles.

If the motors are not compatible with the Arduino power supply voltage, it is possible to connect an additional converter in a specially prepared 3-pin connector.

Attention!
In case of common power supply for Arduino motors and tiles, do not connect an additional power source to the connector on the Arduino board. It may damage the PCB and the controller.
