PmodCDC1 - Capacitative I/O
The PmodCDC1 demonstrates capacitance-to-digital proximity sensing through two capacitative "buttons." The AD7156 is used to measure the capacitances of the two buttons separately by exciting the capacitance and sampling the response. It stores data as a 16-bit word that you can read by accessing the correct data registers via I2C. The user can set a capacitance threshold for both buttons individually, and when that threshold is reach the associated output pin will be driven high.
