The oblique sensor consisting of one QTRXL type optocoupler with the possibility of controlling the brightness of the infrared LED. The module can be supplied with the voltage ranging from 2.9 V to 5.5 V and draws a current of up to 32 mA regardless of the supply voltage. The optimum distance from the sensor to the ground is 20 mm and the maximum distance is 80 mm. The module is ideally suited for detecting changes in light reflection, so it can be used for edge detection or for line tracking in linefollower robots.
