USB-RS232 CONVERTER - PROGRAMMED SYSTEM
The presented converter is of interest mainly due to the simplicity and ease of commissioning. The software used under the GPL2 license also allows you to make your own modifications to the control code, which gives a significant advantage over similar commercial devices available in stores.
The converter enables emulation of the RS232 interface via a USB port. It was designed based on the AVR microcontroller, whose software emulates the USB port. The software used uses the CDC communication class, which allows the implementation of the USB 1.1 interface in any AVR microcontroller. After installing the drivers, the converter is visible as a virtual COM port.
The device is especially recommended for all PC users (mainly mobile) and for microprocessor system designers
