About the book

This book is addressed to beginners and intermediate users of the EdgeCAM program - construction and technological departments of companies, programmers of CNC machine tools and universities.

Users of CAD programs such as AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro / ENGINEER, and UNIGRAPHICS can expand their knowledge of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), since they will find examples of processing both flat files, solid files and surface files.

By definition, the book is not just a description of the program, but also a guide that provides solutions to the issues facing a technologist programmer of CNC machine tools.

The book contains a rich set of exercises for independent performance. The material has been divided into a part related to milling and turning. They have been arranged in accordance with the chronology that is in practice, i.e. from the preparation of the detail to the machining, generating the paths, and ending with the simulation.
