X-NUCLEO-SAFEA1A is an expansion board based on the STSAFE-A110 data security element. STSAFE-A110 is a solution that acts as a secure element that provides authentication and secure data management services to a local or remote host. It consists of a full solution with a secure operating system running on the latest generation of microcontrollers. STSAFE-A110 can be integrated with IoT devices, smart homes, smart cities and industrial applications, consumer electronics devices, consumables and accessories.

The X-NUCLEO-SAFEA1 expansion board is used with the free X-CUBE-SAFEA1 or X-CUBE-SBSFU software packages containing sample code to demonstrate how to implement security applications. X-NUCLEO-S2868A2 can work with STM32 Nucleo kits. The expansion board is compatible with ST morpho and Arduino UNO R3 connectors.
