Description

Banana Pi R64 is a development kit based on the MediaTek MT7622 chip with a 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 dual-core processor. It is equipped with 1 GB SDRAM, 8 GB eMMC memory and numerous connectors and interfaces such as SATA, Ethernet, microSD socket and USB 3.0 Host.

The kit creates a router that can run on various open source operating systems, including OpenWrt and Linux. It has 4 Gigabit LAN ports, 1 Gigabit WAN and AC WiFi AP function. The set can be attached using, among others PCIe2.0 connectors additional modules such as WiFi WiFi BPI-MT7615 or 4G module. The board has support for power supply via PoE modules.

The MediaTek MT7622 system is an integrated WFi 4x4 802.11n and Bluetooth 5.0 platform with a dedicated network accelerator. It has been designed for network devices including routers/repeaters, home automation gateways, wireless sound or mass storage. The versatile chipset provides a platform for popular dual-band and tri-band 4X4 routers / repeaters. The necessary audio interfaces, such as I2S, TDM and S/PDIF, have been added to the sound and voice control application, while for home automation gates there is a wide range of communication interfaces like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Zigbee.
