PikaBot is a kit from the company Cytron for self-assembly of the robot. The kit is easy to assemble and works great as a gift for people who want to start their adventure with programming and electronics in a simple way without the need for a set of tools or soldering skills.
The set is based on the Maker Uno controller - a board compatible with Arduino, equipped with the ATmega328P microcontroller from the AVR family. It consists of all the necessary elements needed to build a robot: controller, motor controller, modules with sensors, motors and power circuits. All elements have pre-soldered wires, and assembly consists of connecting elements with connecting wires according to the attached diagram.
The combined set is placed in a specially designed box, which is also the housing of the robot. The inside of the box provides assembly instructions for the kit, which makes it easy to connect elements without having to search for documentation.
In addition, the manufacturer has prepared a device installation instructions as a video presentation.
The robot is programmed using the mBlock block interface. mBlock is a programming tool based on Scratch 3.0 and Arduino code. It allows children to learn programming using a block programming language. The PikaBot programming instruction is available on the project website.
The board is compatible with Arduino, based on the ATmega328P microcontroller from the AVR family, 14 I/O lines, 6 PWM channels, 6 analog inputs are available to the user. The CH340G chip communicates via a USB interface. In addition, it has 12 LEDs, a programmable button and a embedded buzzer. Cytron Uno Maker
