An offline speech recognition module that enables the recognition and interpretation of user spoken commands without access to an external pattern database. It can be used in a variety of applications such as electronic device control or speech-based user interfaces. The module is equipped with 121 commonly used fixed command words. One of the key features of this module is its self-learning capability, meaning that the user can teach the module to recognise up to 17 new customised commands.
A built-in connector allows a speaker to be connected. It has a power indicator (red) and a recognition status indicator (blue). Two microphones provide better noise immunity and a longer recognition range. This allows the module to detect speech in a variety of environmental conditions, even in the presence of noises or background sounds.
The module is compatible with popular controllers such as Arduino (e.g. Arduino UNO, Arduino Leonardo, Arduino MEGA), FireBeetle series controllers, Raspberry Pi and ESP32. This provides flexibility for integration with different platforms and microcontrollers. Communication is via an I2C or UART interface with the Gravity interface.
