Description
The voltage converter module is a step-down (buck) converter designed to reduce an input voltage from 12.2 V to 36 V down to a stable 12 V output. Thanks to its switch-mode power supply (SMPS) design, it provides significantly higher efficiency than traditional linear regulators, especially when there is a large difference between the input and output voltages. The maximum continuous output current is 600 mA, making it suitable for powering a wide range of popular electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and communication modules. The device operates at a switching frequency of 1.1 MHz under standard loads and automatically reduces the frequency at light loads to further improve energy efficiency. The regulator features a very low quiescent current – below 0.01 mA across most of its operating range – making it an ideal choice for battery-powered applications.
The converter includes built-in short-circuit and overtemperature protection, ensuring stable and safe operation under all conditions. Its compact design allows for easy integration into space-constrained projects.
