Description

Evaluation kit consisting of the Eclypse Z7 base board (ARM Cortex-A9 + FPGA Artix-7) and the Zmod ADC 1410 and Zmod DAC 1411 converter, which are plugged into the SYZYGY interface connector. It is a platform for research and rapid prototyping of test and measurement applications, including program-defined radio, ultrasound and medical devices.

The set consists of:

  • Eclypse Z7 - evaluation kit with the Zynq-7000 APSoC chip integrating the ARM Cortex-A9 based processor with the Artix-7 FPGA chip. It enables key hardware analysis and acceleration, while integrating processor, DSP and ASSP functions on one device. Eclypse Z7 is a powerful platform for prototyping. Provides two SYZYGY interface connectors enabling cooperation with fast modular systems.
  • Zmod ADC 1410 - a dual-channel ADC converter compatible with the SYZYGY standard. The module can simultaneously obtain two 25 V signals with 14-bit resolution and sampling frequency up to 100 MS/s. Zmod ADC is based on the AD9648 chip.
  • Zmod DAC 1411 - a dual-channel DAC converter compatible with the SYZYGY standard. The module can simultaneously generate two 5 V signals with 14-bit resolution and sampling frequency up to 100 MS/s. Zmod DAC is based on the AD9717 chip.

The set works under the control of Linux. API software is included with the pre-built Linux images. The system allows new users to start working without interfering with the hardware configuration until required. The software supports many popular programming languages, including Python and C/C++.

Manufacturer's documentation is available for the modules: Eclypse Z7Zmod ADCZmod DAC.
