AVT Kits – Electronic Projects for Self-Assembly

The AVT kit range includes designs of varying complexity for learning electronics, performing experiments and building functional devices. Available projects include power supplies, battery chargers, measuring instruments, audio amplifiers, temperature regulators, motor controllers, clocks, signaling devices and home automation circuits. Depending on the project, users can choose a printed circuit board, a complete set of components for soldering or a pre-assembled device. The kits support learning how electronic circuits operate, analyzing circuit diagrams and developing assembly skills.

Understanding AVT Kit Designations – A, B, C, A+ and UK

Letters added to an AVT project number identify the product version and its contents. The most common designations include:

  • Version A – a printed circuit board (PCB) only, without electronic components
  • Version B – a self-assembly kit containing a PCB and the electronic components specified for the project
  • Version C – an assembled, commissioned and tested circuit that does not require the user to solder components
  • Version A+ – a printed circuit board supplied with a pre-programmed integrated circuit for the project
  • Version UK – a pre-programmed integrated circuit only, without a PCB or other kit components

Not every AVT project is available in all versions. Before purchasing, users should check the exact contents of the selected product, as the configuration may vary depending on the specific design.

Power Supplies, Controllers, Audio and Other AVT Kit Applications

AVT projects include circuits for voltage regulation, battery charging, lighting control, temperature regulation and electrical measurements. The range also covers audio amplifiers, communication modules, signal generators, clocks, timers and relay controllers. Kits designed for beginners support soldering practice and learning about basic electronic components and circuit operation. More advanced designs can serve as parts of an electronics workshop setup or as modules integrated into custom devices.

Documentation and Choosing the Right AVT Kit

Documentation is available for many AVT projects, including circuit diagrams, component lists, component placement layouts and assembly and commissioning instructions. When selecting a kit, it is important to consider the difficulty level, required supply voltage, amount of assembly work and available tools. Versions A and B are primarily intended for self-assembly, while version C allows users to work with a completed circuit without soldering components. For microcontroller-based projects, it is also important to check whether the required pre-programmed integrated circuit is included in the selected kit.
