Description

Development board Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-1.85B-EN is a compact ESP32-S3 platform housed in a CNC-machined anodized aluminum alloy enclosure. The front features a round capacitive TFT LCD with a 1.85" diagonal and 360 × 360px resolution, displaying 262K colors. The display is controlled by the ST77916 driver via a QSPI interface, while the CST816S capacitive touch controller communicates over I2C. Display brightness is 450cd/m² with a contrast ratio of 1200:1.

ESP32-S3R8 is equipped with a dual-core Xtensa 32-bit LX7 processor operating at up to 240MHz. The module provides 512KB SRAM, 384KB ROM, 8MB PSRAM and 16MB Flash memory. Wireless connectivity includes 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 LE. The platform supports Arduino IDE and ESP-IDF development and is suitable for HMI interfaces, LVGL-based applications, IoT devices, voice interaction projects and AI-oriented prototypes.

Onboard hardware also includes a QMI8658 6-axis IMU, two microphones, ES7210 echo cancellation circuitry, ES8311 audio codec, PCF85063 RTC, BQ27220 battery monitor and a microSD card slot. The USB-C connector is used for programming, communication and power, while additional interfaces include I2C, UART and USB pads. The device can also be powered by a 3.7V lithium battery connected through the MX1.25 2-pin connector and supports battery charging and discharging. Waveshare 34556 is supplied without a battery. The enclosure measures approximately Ø61.6mm in diameter and 14.6mm in thickness.
