Single-channel brushed DC motor driver based on the MPQ6612A chip, enabling bidirectional motor control with a supply voltage of 4-40 V and up to 4 A continuous current. The module provides motor current sensing, active current limiting, overcurrent and thermal protection, and supports PWM control up to 200 kHz. The carrier board does not include soldered connectors, allowing direct soldering of wires or custom connectors. Pololu 5285
Pololu MPQ6612A Single Brushed DC Motor Driver Carrier is a compact module designed to control a single brushed DC motor. The board uses the MPQ6612A motor driver from Monolithic Power Systems, which operates as a full H-bridge, enabling both direction control and speed regulation of the motor. The driver operates with a supply voltage range of 4-40 V and can deliver up to 4 A of continuous current. The integrated current sensing circuit provides an analog feedback signal on the VISEN output, allowing monitoring of the motor load. The board’s default configuration sets the current limit to approximately 7.5 A, which helps reduce startup current and protect both the motor and the control electronics.

Motor control is performed using the logic inputs IN1 and IN2, which can be driven directly from a microcontroller. Speed control is implemented using a PWM signal with frequencies up to 200 kHz. The module also features a SLEEP input that allows the driver to enter a low-power standby mode. The driver includes built-in protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and undervoltage conditions. The carrier board also provides reverse voltage protection. Integrated LED indicators show the output state and motor direction, simplifying diagnostics during system development.

This discrete MOSFET H-bridge motor driver enables bidirectional control of one high-power DC brushed motor. The small 1.3″ × 0.8″ board supports a wide 6.5 V to 40 V voltage range and is efficient enough to deliver a continuous 21 A without a heat sink.
This add-on board enables a Raspberry Pi B+, Pi A+, Pi 2 or Pi 3 to drive a pair of brushed DC motors. Its dual MC33926 motor drivers operate from 5 V to 28 V and can deliver a continuous 3 A (5 A peak) per motor. The default pin mappings make it easy to get started using our provided software, but the board also exposes most of the driver chips’ I/O pins for more specialized applications.
