Description

Gravity: SCI DAQ is an integrated data acquisition module that includes functions such as data display, automatic recognition, sensor calibration, data storage, RTC clock and data conversion to make data acquisition more convenient and efficient. In addition, the SCI DAQ module has versatile power options and can transmit data collected from sensors via an I2C interface.

As part of the Gravity series, DFRobot will provide users with hundreds of different types of sensors. However, many of them output raw electrical signals such as current, voltage, etc., and in order to get data in standard units of physical quantities, users have to look for the relevant information in product datasheets and convert the data using formulas or coding types. Meanwhile, the data format varies from sensor to sensor, so each sensor requires a special control programme to be written. The Gravity: SCI DAQ module allows users to obtain data from sensors in a simpler way.

The module has a built-in screen that allows users to conveniently display sensor data in real time. It is a plug-and-play solution. It automatically recognises the type of I2C sensor connected, eliminating the need for manual settings. SCI DAQ also provides sensor calibration support. It can perform sensor calibration on the board, which is particularly useful for sensors such as pH and TDS. It has a built-in memory capacity of 16 MB, which allows it to store more than 400,000 data records. The stored data can be easily exported to a PC via a USB C-type interface, allowing users to conveniently analyse and process the data.

The board is also equipped with a precision real-time clock (RTC) that records a timestamp for each data acquisition.  The module offers various power supply options, such as a USB C-type interface, PH2.0 port and I2C interface. Users can flexibly choose the appropriate method , to meet different needs in different scenarios. Regardless of the selected power supply option, the module ensures stable operation.

Currently, the SCI DAQ module supports more than 20 popular sensors such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, oxygen concentration and others. In the future, the base will continue to expand, offering users more application scenarios. Whether for scientific exploration, interdisciplinary teaching or IoT applications, the SCI DAQ module can become an indispensable tool for data collection.
