Description

DataLogger IoT is a data logger that is pre-programmed to automatically log data from GPS and various pressure, humidity and distance sensors. Automatically detects, configures and logs data from Qwiic sensors. It is specially designed for users who need to collect a lot of data into a CSV or JSON file. Data can be saved to a microSD card or transferred wirelessly to your preferred Internet of Things (IoT) service. Data can be timestamped if synchronized with NTP, GNSS or RTC.

The recorder is configured using a simple serial interface (USB type C connector). Login data is automatically transferred to the terminal and to the microSD card. DataLogger IoT automatically scans, detects, configures and logs various Qwiic sensors connected to the board - the full list of supported sensors is available on the product page.

DataLogger uses standard microSD cards to save files in comma-delimited text (CSV) or JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) formats. It cannot use any microSD card sizes - it supports a 4-bit SDIO interface with microSD cards formatted as FAT32 and older FAT16 formats (i.e. FAT) up to 32 GB. With a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection, you can also send data to the cloud using IoT services such as MQTT Client, Secure MQTT Client, AWS IoT, ThingSpeak MQTT, Azure IoT, HTTP IoT or MachineChat.

The module supports logging in low power mode. It can be configured to read data approximately 26 times per second with sensors enabled by default, or as infrequently as once every 24 hours. DataLogger IoT has a built-in LiPo charging function. In sleep mode, current consumption is approximately 200 µA.
