The Pen Lifter is a kit designed for the :MOVE Motor for BBC micro:bit. The Pen Lifter allows full utilization of the pen/marker slot in the :MOVE Motor kit, enabling intricate pattern creation without unsightly motion marks. Thanks to the mounted servo, it allows the pen to be raised and lowered, which can be controlled via code.
The kit includes three laser-cut parts, a 180-degree servo, a rubber band, and the necessary mounting hardware. Assembly requires no soldering, only simple mechanical assembly. A step-by-step instruction guide is included, taking the user through the entire setup process. The manufacturer also provides an online MakeCode tutorial to help users get started with coding, guiding them through the process step-by-step.
