A compact servo controller based on the PCA9685 chip, allowing simultaneous control of up to 16 RC servos. The board features a built-in Edge Connector for direct connection to the micro:bit and Link-compatible pads for easy integration with other modules. Power can be supplied via the terminal block or servo connectors, and a built-in switch and LED simplify operation. The controller provides a stabilized 3.3V output for the micro:bit and additional devices, making it a perfect central module in your project. Kitronik 5694
Kitronik Compact 16 Servo Driver Board is a compact servo controller that allows you to control up to 16 RC servos simultaneously. This opens up huge possibilities for building complex constructions and mechanisms. The board is based on the PCA9685 chip, ensuring stable and reliable operation. It features an integrated Edge Connector, enabling direct connection of the BBC micro:bit. Thanks to the pads and the Link standard, it can be easily connected to other accessories and micro:bit expansions, significantly enhancing project capabilities. Power can be supplied either via the screw terminal block or through a servo connector, while the built-in on/off switch and LED indicator provide clear status feedback.
The board provides a regulated 3.3V output to power the connected micro:bit, eliminating the need for a separate power supply for the module itself. Additionally, the 3V and GND pins are exposed on the Link connector and can be used to power additional devices. This makes the board the central hub for power distribution and control within the project. Programming is very straightforward – Kitronik has prepared dedicated MakeCode blocks that can be easily added to the environment, while more advanced users can also use Python support. Its compact dimensions and standard connectors make integration into projects quick and convenient. The driver is suitable for both simple educational projects and more advanced robots or models.

This Kit with fully-dedicated PWM driver chip handles all the motor and speed controls over I2C. Only two data pins (SDA & SCL in addition to the power pins GND & 5V) are required to drive the multiple motors; you can also connect any other I2C devices or shields to the same pins. This makes it drop-in compatible with any Arduino, such as the Uno, Due, Leonardo and Mega R3. Adafruit 1438
