A device that provides electrical isolation between the J-Trace emulator and the ARM board, which protects against electrical interference, especially in systems where the development tools and the application do not share the same ground. It provides 1 kV DC isolation, supports trace frequencies up to 75 MHz, and is compatible with J-Trace V2 and later versions, with a minimum power consumption of 25 µA. Segger J-Trace Isolator (07/08/10)
J-Trace Isolator is a device that provides electrical isolation between the J-Trace emulator and any ARM board using the standard 19-pin Cortex-M connector. The J-Trace Isolator ensures high-quality trace signals while protecting against electrical interference. This solution is essential when development tools are not connected to the same ground system as the application, such as in motor control systems.
The device offers 1 kV DC electrical isolation and supports a variety of applications in product development involving sensors or other analog circuits. The J-Trace Isolator protects the target equipment from electrical disturbances originating from the development computer. It is compatible with J-Trace V2 and newer versions. The device is powered by the emulator, and the power consumption from the target device is only 25 µA. It uses a standard 19-pin JTAG connector and supports frequencies up to 75 MHz for trace, 50 MHz for JTAG, and 4 MHz for SWD.

How to Use J-Trace Isolator with J-Trace PRO
The J-Trace Isolator is designed for use with J-Trace V2 and newer versions, but can also be used with other ARM emulators with the same pinout. In such cases, ensure that 5V is supplied to pin 19 of the emulator's connector, and that the emulator is protected from damage when 5V is applied to this pin. Use of this solution is at your own risk!
