Description

GY-PCM5102-typeB is designed to generate analog stereo audio from a digital data stream transmitted via the I2S bus. The PCM5102A integrates a 32-bit DAC with high dynamic range and low distortion, providing very good audio quality for sound systems, Hi-Fi projects and embedded applications.

The module supports 16, 24 and 32-bit audio data with a sampling frequency range from 8 kHz to 384 kHz. The integrated PLL allows operation without an external MCLK signal, simplifying integration with Raspberry Pi and reducing EMI. DirectPath technology eliminates the need for DC-blocking capacitors on the line output.

The typeB version refers to a specific PCB layout and pin arrangement. Audio performance parameters remain consistent with the PCM5102A specification, and the difference applies only to the hardware variant and pinout configuration.

The module operates at 3.3 V and features a stereo line output along with a 3.5 mm audio jack connector.
