GMSL2 camera extension kit with an 8 MP Sony IMX219 sensor, designed for NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX platforms, enabling image transmission over distances of up to 15 m using a single coaxial cable. ArduCam B0570
The ArduCam B0570 kit is designed for vision systems requiring long-distance image transmission, based on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Orin NX platforms. The use of the GMSL2 interface enables stable video data transmission over distances of up to 15 m, while maintaining high bandwidth and low latency, making it suitable for mobile robotics, surveillance, and industrial automation applications.
The kit features a Sony IMX219 image sensor with an 8 MP resolution (3280 x 2464), enabling high-detail image capture. The rolling shutter sensor operates with a dedicated GMSL2 signal path, based on Analog Devices SerDes technology, providing reliable video signal transmission and power delivery using the Power-over-Coax configuration.
The use of a single coaxial cable simplifies system installation, reduces cable count, and lowers overall weight and wiring complexity. The kit maintains backward compatibility with selected GMSL1 serializers, enabling upgrades of existing systems. The solution is intended for applications in robotics, surveillance, precision agriculture, IoT systems, and smart city infrastructure.
Note!
Achieving transmission distances of up to 15 m requires the use of high-quality FAKRA cables; not all commercially available cables meet this requirement.
