Description

Ultrasonic distance sensor with a range of 30 to 500 cm and a resolution of 1 cm. It is powered by a voltage from 5 to 12 V. It allows measuring the distance to objects with a detection angle of 20° and a measurement frequency of 10 Hz. It uses RS485 interface and Modbus RTU protocol for communication and can be used with all kinds of industrial. The URM15 is equipped with a temperature compensation function and allows to reduce the influence of ambient temperature on the measurement. The sensor uses a 75 kHz acoustic wave and an ultrasonic transducer with a diameter of 40 mm. It is characterized by a relatively small measurement angle and high sensitivity. The measurement circuitry is enclosed in an IP65-rated housing, so it can be used in harsh weather conditions. Sample programs are available on the product wiki page.
