The ePaper display module has a diagonal of 2.13" and a resolution of 250x122 pixels. It uses the SSD1680 driver and communicates via an SPI interface, making it easy to use. The full refresh time is approximately 15 seconds and the viewing angle is over 170 degrees. It allows content to be displayed in three colours: red, black and white.
ePaper displays have several significant advantages over traditional LCD displays. They require very little energy to operate as they do not need a continuous backlight and their matrix uses backlight-free technology, which does not tire the eyes. in addition, ePaper displays provide a very clear and sharp image that is readable even in strong sunlight.
The module has a built-in Micro SD card slot and SRAM with SPI interface. All components on the board are connected to a single bus, so it uses a relatively small number of leads. It is powered by 3.3 V. The ePaper display module is a great solution for projects where it is important to save power and display information on the screen with minimal power consumption without the need for frequent refreshes.
