Programmable module with a 6-inch 800 × 600px e-paper display supporting black-and-white mode, 8 grayscale levels and partial refresh. Based on ESP32-WROVER with WiFi and Bluetooth, it also provides microSD, RTC, Qwiic/easyC and USB-C connectivity. Version with enclosure and 1200mAh Li-Ion battery. Soldered 333229
The device Inkplate 6 by Soldered is a programmable module featuring a 6-inch ED060SC7 e-paper display with a resolution of 800 × 600px. The panel supports black-and-white operation and 3-bit grayscale with 8 levels. A full display refresh takes approximately 1.26s, while a partial refresh takes approximately 0.26s, allowing selected areas of the image to be updated without refreshing the entire display.
The module is based on an ESP32-WROVER, providing WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR and BLE connectivity. The board includes a microSD card slot, a PCF85063A battery-backed RTC, a USB-C connector with a CH340C USB-to-UART bridge and an easyC / Qwiic connector. Available GPIO lines and I2C and SPI interfaces allow the project to be expanded with additional sensors, modules and peripherals.
The 333229 version is supplied with a 3D-printed enclosure and a 3.7V 1200mAh Li-Ion battery. The onboard MCP73831 charger handles battery charging when USB-C is connected and allows the device to automatically switch to battery power when the cable is disconnected. Deep-sleep current consumption is approximately 25µA, while the dimensions with the enclosure are approximately 160.7 × 116.8 × 13.7mm.

Inkplate 6 can be programmed using Arduino and MicroPython. The Arduino library is compatible with Adafruit GFX, and the platform also supports LVGL. The hardware design is available as open source. The e-paper panel is reclaimed from e-book readers, so minor cosmetic marks may be present without affecting functionality.
