About the book

The book contains a review of the families of contemporary digital circuits, their capabilities, parameters, characteristics and target applications. The author also presented migration paths between systems families, requirements for low-voltage power supplies, principles of designing printed circuits for digital circuits, as well as methods for converting digital signals into various voltage standards.

The book is intended for students of technical faculties, constructors of digital systems, as well as hobbyists interested in modern digital circuits.

Book review in NetWorld 12/2009

Today, we find various digital circuits in almost every digital device. The functional system as well as the technology of its implementation decide about the digital system we use.

The book advises how to design the device so that it works correctly, despite numerous limitations resulting from the properties of the systems used.

The reader will find in it a discussion of parameters and characteristics of dominant families of digital circuits and, what is important, a comparison of their parameters. He will learn about the principles of cooperation between systems of different series, including how to adjust the levels of supply voltages. It will explain how to power a digital device, how to operate cargo pumps, voltage stabilizers and monitoring of supply voltages. They will be allergic to interference problems and ways to eliminate them in the aspect of designing printed circuits.
