Description

The device OLED Display SSD1306 0.96" by Soldered features a 0.96" diagonal and a resolution of 128 × 64px. The monochrome screen displays text and graphics in white on a dark background. Each active pixel emits its own light, so no additional backlight is required. The module can be used to display measurement results, messages, icons, and simple menus.

Communication with a microcontroller is handled via the I2C interface with a default address of 0x3C. Two Qwiic connectors, compatible with easyC and STEMMA QT, allow the display to be connected to a compatible controller board and additional devices to be added to the bus without soldering. The board also includes GND, VCC, SDA, and SCL solder pads for installing the included pin header.

Pinout of Soldered OLED SSD1306 0.96-inch display

In the factory configuration, supplying power through the VCC pin requires 5V, which is reduced to 3.3V by the onboard voltage regulator. The Qwiic connectors operate with a 3.3V, 5V supply and logic levels. Supplying 3.3V directly through the VCC pin requires the jumpers to be configured according to the manufacturer's documentation. Current consumption is approximately 20mA and depends on the number of active pixels.

The manufacturer provides an Arduino library with examples and a MicroPython module for controlling the display. The board measures 30 × 30mm and includes two mounting holes for M3 screws, allowing the module to be installed in an enclosure or device structure.
