The USR-G781 is an industrial 4G LTE modem that provides a network solution for serial communication over a cellular network. G781 integrates the functions of a router and a serial modem, which enables easy two-way data transmission between RS485/RS232 devices and the 4G network. Supports connections to various cloud platforms. Supports custom registration packets and "heartbeat" packets (confirming device activity), which ensures constant connection to the device. It offers bidirectional data transmission between external serial devices and a central control server.
The router enables the conversion of the Modbus RTU protocol to TCP, which is useful in SCADA systems. The registration packet identifies the device and the "heartbeat" packet is used to determine the active state of the device and actively collect data. G781 has ESD, surge and EFT protection, as well as a wide input voltage range. The integrated hardware watchdog ensures stable 24/7 operation in difficult conditions and places with strong electromagnetic interference. The components were selected in accordance with industrial standards, and the durable metal housing provides protection against external influences.
The modem supports popular VPN protocols such as PPTP, L2TP, IPSec, OpenVPN and GRE, which ensures secure data transmission. Thanks to the 4G network, it provides high-speed network access for cameras and other devices requiring high data bandwidth, enabling staff to remotely monitor details from the field.
