Long-range Sub-GHz wireless RF transmitter and receiver module, capable of operating in the 868 MHz frequency band. The integrated architecture allows the use of a minimum number of external components while maintaining maximum design flexibility. Hoperf RFM22B-868S2
RFM22B is an integrated ISM transceiver module operating on the 868 MHz frequency band. Its low receive sensitivity (-121 dBm) combined with industry-leading output power of +20 dBm provides extended range and improved link performance. Built-in antenna diversity and frequency hopping support can be used to further increase range and enhance performance.
Additional system features such as automatic wake timer, low battery detector, 64-byte FIFO TX/RX, packet handling, and preamble detection reduce overall power consumption and allow for the use of cheaper MCUs in the system. Integrated temperature sensor, general-purpose ADC, power-on reset (POR), and GPIO further lower costs and system size.
The digital receive architecture of RFM22B includes an ADC and DSP-based modem that performs demodulation, filtering, and packet handling, increasing flexibility and performance. Direct digital transmit modulation and automatic PA power ramping provide precise transmit modulation and reduced spectral spreading, ensuring compliance with global regulations including FCC and ETSI.
