The radio module with the RFM69HCW system is designed to work with the Raspberry Pi. It operates at 868 or 915 MHz (sub-GHz) and can transmit data up to 500 m with a built-in antenna, and even up to 5 km with an external directional antenna. Modules perform packetization, error correction, and can also retransmit data automatically. The user has an OLED display with a resolution of 128x32 pixels and three buttons, so you can easily create a user interface or a simple module for sending text messages. The board connects to the minicomputer via a 40-pin GPIO connector, and communication takes place via the SPI (radio module) and I2C (display) interface. Full documentation with examples is available on the product page.

The KAmod RPI 485&CAN Hat module extends the functionality of Raspberry Pi 5 boards (and others with a 3.3 V SPI interface) with two galvanically isolated RS485 interfaces and one CAN 2.0B interface. The RS485 interfaces are based on the SC16IS752 controller, and the CAN interface on the MCP2515 system. The isolated transceivers used (ADM2483 and TJA1052) increase resistance to interference. Communication takes place via two SPI interfaces, and additional power supply options (from RPi or external 8-32 V) and a stabilized 5 V output allow for flexibility in power supply. The module can be mounted on RPi 5, also with an Active Cooler radiator, and can work with other microcontrollers. The maximum transmission speeds are 500 kbps for RS485 and 1 Mbps for CAN
