TSL25911FN light sensor module that can measure both visible and infrared light. It is an improved version of the TSL2561, offering a wider measurement range. The sensor has a built-in analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and the measurement result is available as light intensity and sent via an I2C interface. Thanks to this solution, signal noise is minimized. The sensor's sensitivity is as high as 188 uLux, and the dynamic range reaches 600M:1. The sensor also has a built-in infrared-responsive photodiode, making it possible to make precise measurements in strong infrared noise environments. An additional feature is the ability to program upper and lower thresholds, allowing the use of an interrupt function.
The sensor is compatible with 3.3V/5V operating voltages thanks to a built-in voltage level converter. Programming materials and instructions are provided with the module, including examples for popular platforms such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino and STM32. Full documentation is available on the manufacturer's website.
