Module with a UV light sensor based on the AS7331 sensor from OSRAM. It allows you to measure UV radiation on three channels: UVA (320-400nm), UVB (280-320nm) and UVC (200-280nm), ensuring high sensitivity and precision of measurements. Each AS7331 channel is equipped with individual photodiodes with built-in filters. Despite its compact size, the board is distinguished by rich functions, including four operating modes: one-time measurement (CMD), continuous measurement (CONT), synchronized start (SYNS) and synchronized start and end (SYND). Additionally, the sensor automatically goes into energy saving mode between measurements, which minimizes power consumption.
Communication with AS7331 takes place via the I2C interface. The module has a Qwiic connector, enabling easy connection without the need for soldering. Pins in the 2.54 mm standard are also available. The connector also has interrupt and synchronization pins (Sync). The AS7331 sensor has the ability to select an I2C address from four available ones, and the address configuration is performed via solder jumpers A1 and A0 on the back of the board. To facilitate integration and reading data from the UV sensor, the manufacturer provides a dedicated Arduino library.
