The NanoPi R2S Plus is a compact and powerful mini-computer designed for various network applications and IoT projects. Powered by a quad-core Rockchip RK3328 processor (4 x Cortex-A53, clocked up to 1.4GHz) and featuring 1 GB of DDR4 RAM, it ensures stable and fast performance in demanding environments. With integrated 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage and support for microSD cards up to 128 GB, the device offers flexible data storage capabilities.
The NanoPi R2S Plus supports Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via the built-in RTL8211F chip (internal Ethernet) and the RTL8153B chip (USB 3.0 to Ethernet converter). It features two USB 2.0 Host ports and two USB-C ports (for power and debug UART), offering versatility for network and DIY projects. An optional Wi-Fi module can also be connected via the M.2 SDIO slot.
The board includes GPIO and Maskrom Mode buttons, along with status LEDs (SYS LED - red, WAN - green, LAN - green). Powered by a 5V/2A DC source, the device is energy-efficient and operates reliably within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The NanoPi R2S Plus supports a wide range of operating systems, including FriendlyWrt (versions 21.02 and 23.05), FriendlyCore Focal Lite (based on Ubuntu 20.04), Buildroot, Debian 11 Core, and OpenMediaVault. It runs on the Linux-6.1-LTS kernel and utilizes U-boot-2017.09, making it versatile for use as an advanced router, media server, or in IoT automation.
