DC motor equipped with a gear ratio 120: 1. It is powered by 6 V and generates a torque of 0.8 kg * cm (0.08 Nm). The current consumed by the unloaded motor is about 170 mA, while the maximum current absorbed by the load is 2.8 A. The gearbox has a two-side cutter shaft, which simplifies the assembly of the further part of the drive system. The motor has an integrated quadrature encoder, which provides a resolution of 16 impulses per revolution of the motor, which gives maximum resolution including a gear ratio of 1920 pulses per revolution. Using Arduino and the engine controller, the user can easily implement PID control in closed loop or PWM motor speed control. The encoder interface is compatible with the Gravity DFRobot interface.
