The Adafruit USB Type C CC Resistor Fixer is a simple adapter that enables safe powering of USB-C devices using a standard USB-C cable. It includes 5.1 kΩ resistors on the CC lines, which allow the port to recognize the connection as passive and provide a stable 5 V output.
This adapter is useful in cases where a USB-C device fails to work with certain ports. This may indicate that the device lacks the required 5.1 kΩ resistors between the CC lines and ground. Without them, some ports may refuse to power the device. This board is intended for charging or basic syncing purposes and is not suitable for high-speed connections or advanced protocols.
