ARM-JTAG / AVR-ISP Programmer-debugger (RS232 version)

BF30 is a universal tool that allows running programs and programming FLASH memory of microcontrollers with an ARM core equipped with a JTAG interface.
It also allows programming of AVR microcontrollers.
With the BF30 programmer we have the ability to support the two most popular microcontroller families!

The device can work in ARM or AVR mode.

  • In ARM mode, the BF30 is fully compatible with the OCDLINK interface, thanks to which it works with an open OpenOCD debugger. In OCDLINK-ARM mode, the user can take control of the core and its peripherals and, for example, enforce step-by-step work, set hardware traps, and view the state of registers and memories.
  • In AVR mode it is fully compatible with the USBASP programmer, thanks to which it can work with programs dedicated to USBASP such as AVRDude or Khazama AVR Programmer. In AVR mode, the user can program a family of 8-bit AVR microcontrollers using the ISP mode.

Thanks to these programs, the device will work in both Windows and Linux environments.
In OCDLINK / ARM mode, the programmer in addition to the JTAG interface includes an additional serial interface RS232, which can be used, for example, to display logs sent from the device through the microcontroller serial port.

BF30 is available in two voltage standards:

  • BF30T , where the RS232 interface is derived in the TTL standard
  • BF30R , where the RS232 interface is derived in the classic +/- 12V standard.

The BF30 interface enables cooperation with 5V and 3.3V voltage systems.

The set includes:

  • BF30R programmer
  • Wiggler cable (IDC20 - IDC20) enabling connection of BF30 to the ARM microcontroller system.
  • ISP cable (IDC10-IDC10) enabling connection of the BF30 to the system with the AVR microcontroller.
