Description
FRDM-K28F is a development board for Kinetis K27 and K28 high performance microcontrollers based on ARM Cortex-M4. The kit includes a 6-axis digital accelerometer and magnetometer for creating full eCompass functions, USB interface with Micro-B USB connector, microSD card slot, three-color LED and two user buttons, external QuadSPI 1x256Mb memory, mobile SDRAM memory, FlexIO based LCD socket and a light sensor.
FRDM-K28F has extensive support in the form of NXP MCUXpresso Config Tools, MCUXpresso SDK, Power Estimation Tool and MCUXpresso IDE as well as numerous usage examples.

- Kinetis MK28FN2M0VMI15 MCU (ARM Cortex-M4 at 150 MHz, 1 MB SRAM, 2 MB Flash memory, HS and FS USB).
- USB interface with a USB micro-B connector
- Built-in QuadSPI memory with 256 Mbit (32 MB) of 1.8V
- 128-bit (16 MB) built-in SDRAM memory at 3.3V
- Many independent voltage levels: VDD_CORE, VDD, VBAT and VDDIO_E
- FlexIO slot for connection of the optional TFT Proto 5 "CAPACITIVE display
- Easy access to the MCU I / O via Arduino R3 compatible I / O connectors to connect external expansion cards
- Flexible power option - OpenSDA v2.2 USB, Kinetis K28 USB or external source
- RGB LED
- Two buttons for entering data by the user and one for resetting
- Programmable OpenSDA v2.2 debugging system supporting DAP-Link interface software that provides:
- MSD flash memory programming interface
- Interface for debugging CMSIS-DAP
- Virtual serial port interface
- CMSIS-DAP open source software project
