Description

1.75 mm PVA filament for 3D printing by ROSA3D. 0.5 kg of filament is wound on the spool. The recommended printing temperature is in the range of 190°C to 215°C, and the temperature of the bed during printing in the range of 50°C to 70°C, however, when using adhesives, heating the bed is not necessary.

PVA filament (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water-soluble thermoplastic. It is perfect as a support material in complex prints made of other materials. By using PVA on a two-head printer, you can print models that would otherwise require printing in parts, gluing or would not be feasible at all. After the printing is finished, it is enough to immerse the model in warm water (but not exceeding the temperature of thermal deformation of the filament from which the actual part of the print is made). Depending on the dimensions of the model and the amount of PVA used, such a bath may take from several minutes to several hours. Mixing the water in the tank can speed up the dissolution process of the supports.

PVA is printed at low temperatures, in an open printer and an unheated bed. Due to its strong hygroscopicity, the filament must be stored in a tightly closed bag or container with a moisture absorber. Storing PVA away from sunlight and at a temperature between 15 ° C and 25 ° C will extend its service life.
