Multifunctional robot with caterpillar chassis with a controller in the form of a micro:bit educational module. It is a universal mobile platform that can track the line and find and avoid obstacles. Waveshare KitiBot for micro:bit Acce C
KitiBot is a multifunctional robot with a tracked chassis with a controller in the form of a micro:bit educational module. It is a universal mobile platform that can track the line and find and avoid obstacles. The set can move both in autonomous mode and be remotely controlled by a mobile application and a Bluetooth interface or a 2.4 GHz radio module.
Attention!
The set does not include the micro:bit module and the 18650 battery. It must be purchased separately. Only 18650 batteries shorter than 67 mm are compatible with the set.The set consists of a complete chassis that allows the construction of a mobile robot using a track system powered by two DC motors. An expansion board is attached to the housing to which the micro:bit module and battery are plugged in. In the front part of the robot there is an ultrasonic sensor mounted on the servo mechanism, thanks to which it can rotate and search for obstacles in its surroundings. On the bottom of the housing, there is a module with reflection sensors that allows the robot to carry out the line tracking function.
The central element of the robot is the KitiBot expansion module. It not only allows you to connect the micro:bit control module to the robot, but has a built-in power supply and charging system based on the MP2636 chip and Li-Ion 18650 battery. The board has a number of protections including overload, overcharge and discharge, short circuit or reverse power polarity. The DC motors are controlled by the TB6612FNG double H bridge system, and the servo movement is handled by the PCA9685 PWM controller. There is also a 10-bit ADC, buzzer and 4 RGB LEDs at the user's disposal.
