An educational robot buggy for beginners, which can be built and controlled using the micro:bit module. It is ideal for autonomous and remote-controlled projects. The MK2 is equipped with rubber O-ring wheels, which improves traction and allows you to overcome difficult surfaces, and the drive is provided by two servos, which can be controlled using PWM. Thanks to five RGB ZIP LEDs and easy-to-use dedicated blocks in the MakeCode editor, the kit allows for intuitive coding and adding visual effects and additional functions, such as indicators and reverse lights. Description

The :MOVE mini MK2 Kit is an ideal tool for beginners to learn programming and robotics by creating their own micro:bit-powered buggy robot. It is designed for autonomous operation, remote control through Bluetooth, or radio-controlled projects, making it an excellent foundation for robotics education. Compatible with the micro:bit module, this kit is perfect for gaining hands-on experience with robotics and programming.

The MK2 version features upgraded injection-molded wheels with durable O-ring tires, enhancing traction and allowing the buggy to navigate challenging surfaces. Powered by two continuous rotation servos, the buggy’s speed can be precisely controlled through PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) in the MakeCode editor using Servo blocks. Kitronik also offers custom Servo:Lite blocks that simplify the coding process, making programming easier. The mini MK2 includes 5 RGB ZIP LEDs (NeoPixel-compatible) that can function as indicators, brake lights, etc. There’s also an option to add a pen or other components to expand the buggy's capabilities.

The kit is powered by 4 AA batteries housed in an integrated battery holder, with an on/off switch to conserve power when not in use. The robot is easily programmable in MakeCode, with custom blocks created by Kitronik to aid in coding the buggy.

Note!

This kit does not include the micro:bit module.
