STEVAL-IHI002V1 is a compact demonstration board based on the STMPE1208S touch controller. It enables testing and implementation of capacitive interfaces in applications with the I²C bus, replacing traditional buttons with capacitive touch sensors. Ideal for integration in modern control panels.
Description
The STEVAL-IHI002V1 evaluation kit is a daughter board demonstrating the capabilities of the STMPE1208S touch controller from STMicroelectronics. The module allows replacing a mechanical keypad with capacitive buttons, a slider, and a wheel. Through the I²C interface, the board can cooperate with a main board or microprocessor system, enabling easy integration with modern user applications, including household appliances.
The board features 12 capacitive electrodes, LEDs indicating activation of individual channels, and the option to configure the I²C address. Sensor patterns are implemented directly in the PCB copper layer, ensuring durability and precise operation. Support for touch and GPIO interrupts enables implementation of dynamic system responses.
