All 20 pins common to all STM32C0 series microcontrollers are available to the user. The user can replace the SWD debug pins by disconnecting the debug probe. The 5-way analog rocker switch and LED can be replaced with a slide switch that can be taken over by the user. All pins are accessible via DIP28 connector. Headers are not provided so that the user can choose the type of header. The built-in 1-pin 32768 Hz RTC clock generator can be cut off with a slide switch.
The kit helps in the migration from 8-bit microcontrollers to the STM32C0 series and between the STM32C0 and STM32G0 series microcontrollers. The DIP28 pinout has been designed to be as compatible as possible with the ATMEGA328 8-bit microcontroller. The LQFP48 base is compatible with microcontrollers from the STM32G031/071/0B1 series. The UFQFPN20 base is compatible with STM32C01 series microcontrollers. The WLCSP20 base is compatible with STM32G051 series microcontrollers.
The STM32C031C6 series microcontroller can be tested over the entire operating range. The 5.0 to 3.3 V voltage regulator trips when its source drops below 3.3 V. The debug probe level shifters adjust the debug signal levels to the microcontroller's target supply voltage.
