The Air780EU 4G CAT1 communication module is a versatile solution designed for use in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, Thailand, Africa, and other regions. It supports LTE-FDD bands B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28, offering fast and stable 4G connections. With maximum transmission speeds of up to 10 Mbps (download) and 5 Mbps (upload), it is perfectly suited for IoT projects requiring reliable data transfer.
The device is equipped with a range of integrated network protocols such as TCP/UDP/HTTP/MQTT/HTTPS and more, significantly simplifying deployment and eliminating the need for low-level programming. Communication is handled via a UART interface with AT command control, allowing easy integration with various microcontrollers and development boards. Air780EU also features a low power consumption mode – consuming only 0.6mA in sleep mode, with wake-up triggered by UART data or periodic interrupts. With a reporting interval of every 5 minutes, a 500 mAh battery can power the module for up to 36 days in STD mode. The device supports USB network card functionality without driver installation on a computer, Raspberry Pi, UNIHIKER, or LattePanda, enabling rapid 4G connectivity deployment. The module includes a USB-C port, nano SIM card slot, and SMA antenna interface. It is compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic levels and supports power supply in the range of 5V–12V, making it an excellent choice for long-term deployments and industrial applications.
