Makerbase MKS DLC32 controller uses a 32-bit ESP32-WROOM-32U module with a dual-core Xtensa LX6 processor running at up to 240 MHz, 8 MB Flash memory and 520 KB RAM. The controller is designed for laser engravers and small CNC machines operating with GRBL firmware. The board provides connectors for controlling stepper motors on the X, Y and Z axes, laser module control signals and limit switch inputs. A 12–24 V DC power supply allows integration with power systems commonly used in CNC machines.

Upgrading laser engravers allows older control systems to be replaced with an ESP32-based board. Building small CNC machines enables control of stepper motor movement and connected actuators. WiFi-based operation provides access to machine controls through a web interface. The controller also supports LaserGRBL and LightBurn, which are used to prepare and transfer engraving jobs.
The microSD card slot enables storage of job files and execution of tasks without a continuous connection to a computer. The board features a USB-C port for computer communication, limit switch connectors, laser, spindle and buzzer control outputs, and an I2C interface. The connector layout facilitates wiring the machine's electrical components, while the mounting holes allow the controller to be installed inside an enclosure.
Data sheet
This stepper motor driver offers microsteps down to 1/256th of a step, ensuring exceptional precision and smooth motion. Its simple operation—requiring only two microcontroller pins—and low operating voltage (1.8 to 10V) make it ideal for energy-efficient mobile, robotic, and DIY applications. Integrated connectors, LEDs, and a potentiometer for current adjustment facilitate prototyping and secure integration with popular platforms like Arduino and ESP32. Adafruit 6353
A stepper motor driver for precise control of bipolar motors, offering six microstepping modes (from full to 1/32). It operates within a voltage range of 8.2V to 44V and delivers up to 1.5A per phase without cooling or up to 2.2A with a heatsink/fan, ensuring smooth and stable operation even at high speeds. Compatible with the popular A4988 and DRV8825 drivers, with an integrated regulator and overheating, overload, and short circuit protection, the TB67S581FNG is a reliable and versatile solution for applications requiring precise motion control.
