Module with the TMC2209 bipolar stepper motor driver, which enables control with a supply voltage ranging from 4.75 to 29 V and a current of up to 2.8 A. TMC2209 is controlled via the STEP / DIR interface. A single-wire UART interface is used to configure the advanced options of the system. The controller has numerous control and safety systems built in, including the advanced TRINAMIC StealthChop2 circuit breaker for silent operation, maximum efficiency and the best engine torque, and the SpreadCycle system for highly dynamic movement during acceleration. The configuration of the system is stored in the non-volatile OTP memory. The module is perfect for projects that require precise control of a stepper motor, e.g. 3D printers or home automation.

This Kit with fully-dedicated PWM driver chip handles all the motor and speed controls over I2C. Only two data pins (SDA & SCL in addition to the power pins GND & 5V) are required to drive the multiple motors; you can also connect any other I2C devices or shields to the same pins. This makes it drop-in compatible with any Arduino, such as the Uno, Due, Leonardo and Mega R3. Adafruit 1438
