Module of the 3-axis LIS2DH accelerometer. Sensor made in MEMS technology with I2C interface. The module has a built-in LDO regulator, thanks to which the module supply voltage can range from 3.3 - 5 V. The board also has a two-sided logic level converter that provides communication with both 3.3 V and 5 V systems.
Compared to the well-known ADXL345 accelerometer, LIS2DH is more stable and more energy-efficient. Accelerometer in low-power mode, consumes about 2 uA, while in normal mode it consumes up to 11 uA current. The maximum frequency of the measurement results is 5.3 kHz. Accelerometer sensitivity is programmable in several ranges: +/- 2 g, +/- 4 g, +/- 8 g or +/- 16 g. The sensor returns a 16-bit overload value in each axis. The accelerometer has two independent programmable interrupt generators for detecting free fall or movement, interrupting them awakening the system from sleep mode. This allows you to build systems to display the device's orientation or to recognize impacts or measure overloads.
