BeagleV-Ahead - minicomputer with T-Head TH1520 processor and 4GB RAM

Description

The BeagleV-Ahead is an open source RISC-V single board computer (SBC) in a BeagleBone Black package with compatible P8 and P9 connector pins, allowing the use of the BeagleBone package and expansion modules to add additional capabilities.

BeagleV-Agead is equipped with the T-Head TH1520 processor, which is a quad-core RISC-V 64GC processor clocked at 2 GHz. Each core has 64 KB of L1 cache for both instructions and data, as well as a shared 1 MB L2 cache.

The minicomputer is equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU) with a performance of 4 TOPS @ INT8 at 1 GHz, which allows for efficient processing of tasks related to machine learning and artificial intelligence.

SBC uses the Imagination BXM-4-64 graphics processor, which achieves a performance of 50 GFLOPS and is capable of processing 3 million pixels per second. It is equipped with 4 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 16 GB of eMMC memory, which allows for efficient storage and processing of data.

The minicomputer offers Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity thanks to the FIZY module: AP6203BM, and Ethernet via the RJ-45 connector. It also has a microUSB 3.0 port and supports USB OTG. It is powered by 5V and provides 5V output.

BeagleV-Agead offers video output via a micro-HDMI (Type-D) connector, allowing connection to monitors and TVs. It has a microSD slot for memory expansion, a mikroBUS connector with support for I2C, UART, SPI, ADC, PWM and GPIO, as well as 2 CSI connectors compatible with BeagleBone AI-64, Raspberry Pi Zero/CM4 (22-pin), and a DSI connector. It is designed as an affordable, RISC-V-enabled pocket computer for anyone who wants to explore RISC-V ISA.
