Bluetooth 5 module with nRF52840 chip. It is based on the ARM Cortex-M4 core with 1 MB Flash memory and 256 KB RAM memory. The module is equipped with a USB interface that supports any class of USB devices, including CDC communication devices, MSC mass storage, HID user interface and audio. The nRF52840 has an integrated 2.4GHz radio most commonly used as a Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) interface, but can also be used with Bluetooth 5, ANT or as a proprietary interface from Nordic. One of the features of nRF52840 is also its extensive pin multiplexing capabilities, so that almost any pin can support any peripheral. The module can be powered by USB or LiPo battery. The system has a bootloader, but it can also be programmed via a standard SWD connector and an external programmer.
The kit is programmed using the dedicated nRF5 SDK environment and Arduino IDE. The manufacturer also provides a user manual and documentation.
