Description

RGB-D is a 3D camera module with ToF technology and the ability to record images in RGB color with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Additionally, it is equipped with an IMU measurement system. The camera enables easy acquisition of RGB-D data via a USB cable and, when combined with a web interface, enables viewing of depth maps, point cloud data, and rendering of colored 3D objects in real time. The camera under Linux works immediately, without the need to install additional drivers. It supports both ROS1 and ROS2, offering open integration packages and sample codes. Additionally, the manufacturer provides an SDK in Python, which enables the development of applications such as 3D facial recognition, grasping the robot's moving arm and creating a map using the SLAM method using the acquired data.

Time-of-Flight technology is a method used to measure distance. It involves calculating the distance between the emitter and the reflector by measuring the "time of flight" of signals such as ultrasonic waves, microwaves or light.

RGB-D 3D ToF sensor camera is a type of camera that combines RGB (red, green, blue) and depth sensors. It is capable of providing both RGB and depth images. RGB images record information about the color of the scene, while depth images provide information about the depth of objects in the scene relative to the camera. ToF sensors are used for this purpose, with infrared or laser rangefinders being the most commonly used. The module records differences in the distance between objects and displays them in the form of colors. Color shades change as distances are mapped, with warmer shades (orange-red) representing closer distances and cooler shades (blue) indicating longer distances.

The solution includes various algorithms for distance measurement, multi-zone body tracking, position detection and posture control, and basic calibration functions.
