Description

Raspberry Pi Smart Display Module display adapter enables Compute Module 5 installation in displays compliant with the Intel SDM specification. The SDM-L form factor allows the computing module to be installed directly inside a compatible display without external power cabling or a separate enclosure. The solution can be used in digital signage systems and integrated information display platforms.

Compute Module 5 mounts directly onto the Smart Display Module board. The included passive aluminium heatsink dissipates heat from the CM5 while fitting within the SDM form factor. The entire module is powered directly by the host display.

The M.2 M-Key PCIe socket supports 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 form factors, allowing additional storage or an AI accelerator to be installed. The module is also compatible with the Raspberry Pi Antenna Kit, allowing the external antenna to be positioned outside the host display.

An additional HDMI output supports an independent video stream. The board also features an external power button for power cycling the module independently from the display and an LED indicating power status and storage activity.
